Just as a heads up, there will occasionally be pages that go missing for a while. Do not worry, it is not that I am deleting them. The reason that the pages disappear is simply for updating purposes. For example, you will notice that the “Mid-line/Economy $50-150″ page has gone missing under Japanese Swords. This is because i am currently adding content and/or reconstructing the page.
With this new update, I will be adding multiple links per item so that you can browse and shop around at different places and find out which best suites you. Eventually every section (i.e. Cheap, Mid-line, etc.) will have multiple links for every sword, h0wever i am just starting with the mid-line section. Thanks again! And keep your eyes peeled for the resurgence of the new page! (of course, i will let you all know with a new post…haha)

I’m working on an update for the Midline/Economy page for Japanese swords. The page should be available for viewing within the next week or so. There have been many different choices for good swords within this price range so it has been difficult to narrow it down to a reasonable amount. Hopefully it will suite everyone.
A thank you to everyone who has offered feedback to me for this site! As a result i have added a counter and the Year to Date section to the sidebar, as well as the Meebo chat section. Thanks to all who have let me appraise their swords! Already for 2009 we’ve reached 40 appraisals! Since getting this website up and running, i’ve had more appraisals in the first three months than i had in all of 2008! I really appreciate, and would like to thank everyone who has given me the chance to appraise their swords this year. As an independent appraiser it can be very hard to find people who are willing to let you appraise their items. Most people feel more comfortable paying hundreds of dollars to go through an appriasal society, which is fine, albeit ridiculously expensive!
That is where Blade Maid Sword Services can be of help to you! My independent appraisals are just as accurate as a high priced society appraiser’s and they cost much less money. If you are looking for information about your sword but don’t have the available funds to take it to a high profile appraiser, please consider purchasing my services. You will not be disappointed!

Is there a sword on your shelf that you have not touched in a couple of years? Chances are that rust has started to blosom in some places on the blade. Well do not worry. I offer a cleaning service that can take care of that problem! I use the traditional methods of Uchiko powder and Choji oil to stop the active rusting and seal out moisture that could furture damage the blade. If you are unsure of how to take care of your blades or just dont feel like you have the time to, choose Blade Maid to take care of it.
