I’d like to welcome everyone to the newest site on Blades, Swords, and Knives. What makes Blade Maid different from previous sites on the subject? Blade Maid encompasses everything that is lacking in the sword, knife and blade market today, INFORMATION! When i started collecting swords five years ago, i had no idea what i was getting myself into. All i knew was, that i liked swords and i wanted to start collecting them. The problem was, i had know idea what to look for.
When i started collecting swords there were a number of questions that i found myself asking. Questions like: What did a collection quality sword look like? What type of metal should i look for, and what condition? WHERE should i look for swords? What are some price ranges that i should be expecting? What type of sword will i want to collect the most? What types of swords will i be able to find in my area? Japanese or European? Short or long? Knife or sword? The list goes on…
In the following months i will be bringing together all of the things that i have learned here for you to learn from. Hopefully with the information provided on this site you will be able to gather a more complete understanding of blades, knives, and swords.
It is my hope that whether you are intersted in buying your first sword, or are a seasoned collector of the such, Blade Maid can help you gain a hint more knowledge than prior to our meeting.
